Mira primarily means the sight or aiming device on a firearm or optical instrument (ajustar la mira — to adjust the sight). In plural, miras commonly means aims or intentions (con miras a — with a view to, with the aim of). Note that mira is also the third-person singular imperative of mirar (look!), so context matters.
