Usage Note
Mía is the feminine singular stressed possessive determiner, used predicatively (esta casa es mía) or after a noun (una amiga mía). It contrasts with the unstressed mi, which only appears before a noun (mi casa). The plural is mías; the masculine forms are mío / míos.
