Usage Note
Cómo (with accent) is the interrogative/exclamatory adverb; como without accent is the conjunction 'like/as/since'. In direct and indirect questions: ¿Cómo te llamas? / No sé cómo funciona. In exclamations it expresses manner or degree: ¡Cómo llueve! ('How it rains!'). Do not confuse it with the preposition como ('as, like, about').
