Usage Note

Levemente describes a small degree of something — levemente herido (slightly injured), levemente sorprendido (mildly surprised). It shares its root with leve (mild, slight) and aliviar (to relieve). When two Spanish adverbs in -mente are coordinated, only the last takes -mente: suave y levemente ('softly and gently').
