Usage Note
Irrisorio most often describes an amount of money that is insultingly small: un sueldo irrisorio (a laughable salary). It can also describe something so absurd it provokes scorn rather than genuine laughter. The adverb is irrisoriamente. Do not confuse with irónico (ironic).
