Usage Note

Interrumpido is the past participle of interrumpir used as an adjective. It describes something halted or broken off: un sueño interrumpido (a broken sleep), una señal interrumpida (a dropped signal). Do not confuse with ininterrumpido (uninterrupted), which is its antonym and a common false-start error for learners.
