Usage Note

Incontrolado describes something that is out of control or unsupervised: un incendio incontrolado (an uncontrolled fire), masas incontroladas (unruly crowds). It is the negation of controlado via the prefix in-. In journalistic Spanish it often appears in contexts of violence or civil unrest. The feminine form is incontrolada.
