Also means
unmoved
Usage Note
Impasible describes a person who shows no reaction to pain, provocation, or emotion — a stronger and more literary term than tranquilo (calm) or indiferente (indifferent), which do not necessarily imply suppressed emotion. It is invariable for gender: el juez impasible / la jueza impasible. The related adverb is impasiblemente and the noun is impasibilidad.
Examples
"El acusado permaneció impasible durante toda la audiencia."
Natural Translation
The accused remained impassive throughout the entire hearing.
