Also means
equal, level
Usage Note
Igualado as a sports adjective means a tied or level score: el partido está igualado ('the match is level'). In some Latin American countries — notably Venezuela and Colombia — it also carries the colloquial sense of being presumptuous or 'uppity', describing someone who overestimates their social standing. These two senses do not overlap in standard Peninsular use.
Examples
"El marcador quedó igualado al final del partido."
Natural Translation
The score was tied at the end of the match.
