Usage Note

Idéntico agrees in gender and number (idéntica, idénticos, idénticas). It typically governs the preposition a — tu bolso es idéntico al mío (your bag is identical to mine). The adverb is idénticamente, though in practice exactamente igual is far more common in speech.
