Floreciente is the present participle of florecer (to flourish, to flower) used as an adjective. It describes an economy, business, art scene, or culture that is growing and prospering. It is invariable in gender (un negocio floreciente / una industria floreciente) and agrees only in number. Its antonym is decadente or en declive.
