manufacturer

noun fah-bree-KAHN-teh Less Common

maker

Usage Note

Fabricante is a common-gender noun (el/la fabricante), so the same form is used for men and women. It refers to a company or person that manufactures goods, and is often followed by de to specify the product (fabricante de coches = 'car manufacturer'). Do not confuse with fábrica (factory), the place where manufacturing happens.
