Usage Note

Encantado (fem. encantada) is the standard polite response when introduced to someone — the equivalent of 'pleased to meet you'. The fuller form encantado de conocerte/conocerle is more explicit. It also means 'delighted' in a broader sense: estoy encantado con el resultado.
