Ejecutivo as a noun refers to a business executive or, in the political sphere, the executive branch (el poder ejecutivo). As an adjective it means 'executive' or 'carrying authority to act immediately' (orden ejecutiva). The feminine form ejecutiva is standard for a female executive. In Mexico el Ejecutivo (capitalized) specifically means the President.
