contorted
Usage Note
Descoyuntado literally describes something whose joints (coyunturas) have been wrenched apart — a dislocated limb or a twisted body. Figuratively it describes prose, arguments, or plans that are incoherent and disjointed. The verb descoyuntar (to dislocate) gives the past-participial adjective, which agrees in gender: descoyuntada.
Examples
"El bailarín hacía movimientos descoyuntados."
Natural Translation
The dancer made disjointed movements.
