review

Usage Note

Crítica means both a critical opinion or review (la crítica teatral = 'theatre review') and criticism as an act (recibir críticas = 'to receive criticism'). Note the written accent on the first i, marking it as a esdrújula (antepenultimate stress). La crítica (with the definite article) can refer collectively to critics as a group, as in 'the critics loved the film.'
