Also means
to mark (papers)
Usage Note
Corregir is both to fix an error and to grade or mark student work (corregir exámenes). It is an e→i stem-changing verb (corrijo, corrige) with a spelling change g→j before o/a to preserve the soft g sound. Its noun counterpart is corrección (f); the agent noun corrector also exists (as in spell-checker: corrector ortográfico).
Examples
"La profesora corrigió todos los exámenes."
Natural Translation
The teacher marked all the exams.
