Usage Note

Continuo (stress on the second syllable) must be distinguished from continúo (stress on the third), which is the first-person present of continuar: yo continúo trabajando ('I continue working'). As an adjective, continuo agrees normally: ruido continuo, lluvias continuas. The adverb continuamente ('continuously') is the everyday way to say something happens non-stop.
