Usage Note
Conocedor describes someone who knows a subject well, and doubles as a noun: un conocedor de vinos is a wine expert or connoisseur. The feminine form is conocedora. It differs from sabio (wise, scholarly) by implying practical, experiential knowledge rather than academic depth.
