Usage Note
Compatible is used for technical compatibility (dispositivos compatibles, compatible devices) and interpersonal compatibility (somos compatibles, 'we are compatible'). It is invariable in gender (same form for masculine and feminine) but changes for number: compatibles. The antonym is incompatible. The noun is compatibilidad. Like most -ble adjectives, it is stressed on the penultimate syllable (com-pa-TI-ble).
