Bonaerense is the standard demonym for both the city of Buenos Aires and the province of Buenos Aires, which can cause ambiguity; speakers sometimes specify porteño for the city proper and bonaerense for the province. It is invariable in gender (el acento bonaerense, la cultura bonaerense).
