accepted

adjective ah-soo-MEE-doh Rare

Also means

acknowledged

Usage Note

Asumido as an adjective means accepted as fact or taken on as a responsibility: un riesgo asumido (an accepted risk). It can also describe something widely acknowledged: es algo asumido por todos (it is something everyone has accepted). Be careful not to confuse with 'assumed' in the English sense of 'supposed' — that would be supuesto or presunto.
