Usage Note
Argelino is both the adjective (Algerian) and the demonym noun: un argelino, una argelina. It derives from Argel, the Spanish name for Algiers (the capital) and historically for the entire country (Argelia). English 'Algeria' → Spanish Argelia; do not confuse Argel (city) with Argelia (country).
Examples
"El embajador argelino asistió a la reunión."
Natural Translation
The Algerian ambassador attended the meeting.
