Tirada primarily means the print run or circulation of a publication (e.g. una tirada de 10.000 ejemplares). It also means a long stretch or distance in colloquial use (hay una buena tirada = 'it's quite a stretch'). A third sense is a throw or shot (from tirar). The printing sense is most common in media contexts.
