Usage Note

Textualmente means that something is reproduced exactly as it was written or said, without any paraphrase. A common colloquial usage is y esto es textualmente lo que dijo (and this is word for word what they said). It is slightly more formal than palabra por palabra. In journalism and legal writing it marks direct quotation. The related adjective textual means 'literal' or 'verbatim'.
