Telefónico is an adjective that cannot stand alone as a noun — it always modifies: llamada telefónica (phone call), compañía telefónica (phone company), servicio telefónico (telephone service). The stress falls on the ó, making it a proparoxytone (stress on the third-to-last syllable). It is not used as a noun; the telephone itself is el teléfono.
