Actualizar covers both updating data or software and bringing something current, equivalent to English 'update' or 'upgrade.' Its reflexive form actualizarse means to keep oneself up to date: tienes que actualizarte. Do not confuse with realizar, which means 'to carry out,' not 'to realize.'
