Sublevación denotes an armed uprising or mutiny against established authority — stronger and more organized than a disturbio (disturbance) but often shorter-lived than a full revolución. Sublevación militar (military mutiny) is a common collocation. The verb is sublevar(se): la tropa se sublevó contra el mando ('the troops mutinied against the command').
