Usage Note
Sospechar is followed by de when the suspicion falls on a person (sospecha de él) and by que + subjunctive or indicative for a suspected fact (sospecho que miente). The related noun is sospecha (f) and the adjective sospechoso means 'suspicious' or 'suspect'.
