Origin: From Latin sinuosus (full of curves), from sinus (curve, bay).

Usage Note

Sinuoso describes anything with many curves or bends: un camino sinuoso (a winding road), un río sinuoso (a meandering river). Figuratively it can describe devious or evasive behaviour: un argumento sinuoso (a convoluted argument). The feminine form is sinuosa, plural sinuosos/sinuosas.
