Usage Note
Sintético describes materials manufactured to imitate natural ones (fibra sintética, synthetic fibre; césped sintético, artificial turf) and also summarising speech or writing (un resumen sintético, a concise summary). In Latin America sintético is widely used on clothing labels; the feminine is sintética. Do not confuse with sintáctico (syntactic).
