Usage Note
Roto is the irregular past participle of romper (to break), used as an adjective meaning broken, torn, or worn out. Note the irregularity: he roto (I have broken) uses roto as participle. In Chile, roto is also a colloquial (sometimes pejorative) term for a lower-class person. The feminine form is rota, plural rotos/rotas.
