reserva
reservation
noun reh-SEHR-bah Less Common
Origin: From Latin reservare (to keep back).
Also means
reserve
Usage Note
Reserva covers a hotel or restaurant reservation, a nature reserve, a sports substitute (bench player), and the military reserve. Hacer una reserva is the standard phrase for booking. The expression con reservas means 'with reservations' (doubts). Do not confuse with reservación, which is used in Latin America and carries the same booking sense; Spain strongly prefers reserva.
Examples
"Hice una reserva en el hotel para esta noche."
Natural Translation
I made a reservation at the hotel for tonight.
