Usage Note

Repaso most commonly means a quick review of studied material (dar un repaso, to go over something). In casual speech dar un repaso can also mean to trounce or thrash someone (les dimos un buen repaso, we gave them a good thrashing), a colloquial sense learners should note. The verb is repasar.
