Usage Note
Redox is an invariable adjective (no gender or number inflection) used in chemistry to describe reactions involving simultaneous oxidation and reduction — the transfer of electrons between species. In Spanish it functions just as in English: reacción redox, potencial redox. The related nouns oxidación and reducción each describe one half-reaction.
