Usage Note

Recordar means 'to remember' when used without an indirect object (no recuerdo su nombre). With an indirect object pronoun it means 'to remind someone' (te recuerdo que tienes cita = I remind you that you have an appointment). It is an o->ue stem-changing verb in the present tense (recuerdo, recuerdas...).
