Usage Note

Recibido is the past participle of recibir used adjectivally. A common set phrase is acuse de recibo ('acknowledgement of receipt'). In Mexico and some Latin American countries, bien recibido ('well received') is used similarly to English 'welcome'. Note that recibir can mean both 'to receive' and 'to greet/welcome someone'.
