Rayado means marked with lines or stripes (papel rayado — lined paper), and also scratched (a surface). In colloquial Latin American Spanish estar rayado can mean 'to be obsessed' or 'to be unhinged'. The noun raya (f) means a line, stripe, or scratch, and is also the word for a parting in hair.
