Propagar is a -gar verb with a spelling change before -e: propague (subjunctive/imperative). It describes the spread of ideas, disease, fire, or signals — propagar un virus, propagar noticias falsas. The reflexive propagarse is very common for things that spread on their own (el incendio se propagó rápidamente).
