Also means
awarded
Usage Note
Premiado is the past participle of premiar used as an adjective: un autor premiado (a prize-winning author), el número premiado (the winning lottery number). It can also be a noun: el premiado (the winner). Unlike English 'awarded', it does not take con in the participial adjective form; the prize itself is introduced with con only in the verbal construction (fue premiado con el Nobel).
Examples
"La novela premiada se agotó en días."
Natural Translation
The prize-winning novel sold out in days.
