Posiblemente expresses possibility and typically triggers the subjunctive when it precedes the verb (posiblemente venga mañana — note venga, not viene), though in informal speech the indicative creeps in. It is interchangeable with quizás and tal vez in most contexts, but sounds slightly more formal. Unlike probablemente (probably), it signals a lower degree of confidence.
