Usage Note
Originado is the past-participle adjective of originar (to originate, to cause), used with estar: el problema está originado por la falta de recursos (the problem is caused by a lack of resources). It can describe both a geographic origin and a causal origin. The reflexive originarse means 'to arise' or 'to start'.
