Ofender is a regular -er verb. The reflexive ofenderse means 'to take offence': se ofendió fácilmente ('he took offence easily'). The related noun is ofensa (offence) and the adjective ofensivo/-a. In some contexts it overlaps with insultar, but ofender implies a deeper wound to dignity.
