Usage Note
Muerto is the irregular past participle of morir and also functions as an adjective meaning dead. As a noun un muerto/una muerta means a dead person or corpse. The colloquial phrase estar muerto de cansancio (to be dead tired) illustrates its figurative use for extreme states.
