Mudanza primarily means a household move — packing and relocating to a new home. Hacer la mudanza means 'to move house', and empresa de mudanzas is a moving company. In an older or literary register, mudanza can also mean a change or transformation more broadly (la mudanza de las estaciones), but in everyday Spanish the moving-house sense dominates.
