Usage Note

Movilidad is used in multiple domains: movilidad social (social mobility), movilidad urbana (urban transport), and in medicine movilidad articular (joint mobility). In contemporary Spanish policy discourse movilidad sostenible ('sustainable mobility') is a frequent collocation. Do not confuse with movimiento, which refers to a specific act of moving.
