Modo means 'way, manner, or mode'. The phrase de todos modos ('anyway, in any case') is extremely common in conversation. A mi modo means 'my way'. In grammar, modo refers to verbal moods (indicativo, subjuntivo). Don't confuse with moda (fashion) — a similar but unrelated word.
