menú
menu
noun meh-NOO Less Common
Origin: From French menu (detailed list), from Latin minutus (small, detailed).
Usage Note
Menú carries a written accent on the ú to preserve the stress on the final syllable. In Spanish restaurants, el menú del día (set meal of the day) is a fixed-price lunch deal and is culturally distinct from la carta (the à la carte menu). A digital computer menu is also menú. The plural is menús.
Examples
"El menú del día incluye tres platos y postre."
Natural Translation
The set menu includes three courses and dessert.
