maravilloso

marvellous, wonderful

adjective mah-rah-BEE-yoh-soh Less Common

Maravilloso is a strong positive superlative in everyday speech — speakers use it more freely than English 'marvellous', roughly equivalent to 'amazing' or 'fantastic'. The feminine is maravillosa. The noun root is maravilla ('marvel'), and the phrase ¡qué maravilla! is a common exclamation of delight.
