Usage Note
Mallorquina is the feminine form of mallorquín, referring to a woman from the island of Mallorca (also spelled Majorca in English). It can also be an adjective (la cocina mallorquina = Majorcan cuisine). Note the double-l is pronounced like a 'y' in standard Spanish, and the stress falls on the penultimate syllable following normal rules for words ending in -a.
